Hello all!  It is quite chilly outside, so I decided it's a good day to craft!  Here's some how to instructions for the cupcake toppers.  Remember!  You don't need a Cricut to complete this one!  :)
Step 1:       (Makes 12)
Gather your supplies:
-hot glue gun
-24 2" round circles in your choice of color
-12 toothpicks
-12 decorations or embellishments
Step 2-
-Glue all embellishments onto 12 circles.
Step 3-
-Hot glue toothpick on the back of each embellished circle.
Step 4-
-Hot glue another circle on top (side you want to see out) to cover the toothpick.
Step 5-
-Add writing or any other final embellishments and stick into a cupcake!

New Cricut Machine!

Cricut released it's new machine into the family today!  It's called the Cricut Explore.  There is no screen, just like the Cricut Mini, and you need to have a laptop and design program to operate.  The settings are much simpler as you can see in the picture!  (Yay!)  The machine won't be available 'til February on HSN and March in stores.  If you don't have a Cricut, I highly recommend one.  This new machine looks like a great one for a beginner!  (I have the Expression 2.)

Another Valentine's Day Card!

Hello Everyone!

Well, Valentine's Day is fast approaching, in fact, only one month away from today!  (My ordering deadline is Feb. 1st.)
*Did you know?*    Valentine's Day is the third largest greeting card holiday after Christmas at #1 (not surprising!) and Mother's Day ringing in at #2.  :)

Thanks for visiting!

It's Only a Little Over a Month Away!

You probably know what I'm talking about, right?  Hopefully you said Valentine's Day!
It always seems harder to make cards for men because they can't be all frilly and cute, so I tried to make a more "manly" Valentine.  Trust me, it was a challenge.  To construct this one, I used the Cricut cartridges "Freshly Picked" and "Martha Stewart Holiday Cakes."

Enjoy!  Don't forget, it's never too early to order (or start making) your Valentine's cards!  I will be posting many more pictures of Valentine's stuff and even a simple project that doesn't require a Cricut machine!  Stay tuned!!

The Card for Bingo Lovers!

Ugh!  It is so nasty outside!  I got soaked, so I am writing as I dry off.  :)
I made this card utilizing my awesome Sizzix Boutique embossing machine with the Tim Holz Bingo design.  To make it a little more creative, I cut out plain red circles as the chips or markers and highlighted (or one of my favorite verbs that shouldn't be a verb, "Sharpied") the BINGO title and the FREE space with black Sharpie.

Thank You Cards in the Cold!

The wind-chill is -45 degrees currently!  What better way to spend time inside than making cards!  I'm in the process of making thank you cards from Christmas, so I thought I would post a collage of some of them.  Cricut currently has a Valentine's Day cartridge on Craftroom, so I might have to check it out!  (Sorry the picture is sideways)

Cupcake Toppers!

I love to make these great little additions to cupcakes.  They're easy to do, and look so nice.  I will have how-to instructions next month for a Valentine's Day pattern!
